Guitar Hero World Tour Wii

Most rock games go up to 10
Yeah well this one goes up to 11

I have recently recieved a copy of guitar hero wolrd tour. I have played other games in the series and have also played this one on a different console round my friends house.
You can buy this game either on its own, with a guitar in a solo guitar pack or as a band pack which consists od drums a guitar and a microphone and if you are wiling to spend the extra money or maybe you can get it in a deal with a guitar as well.

The equipment
Like in all the guitar hero games the guitar mode is played using the coloured buttons and the strummer and strumming as the notes appear on screen. Although this time there is a difference. There is an all new neck slider which makes nailing those tricky solos easier and it is so easy to use. Whenever the notes turn purple you place your hand on the neck slider and slide your finger to the note that you want to play.
The bass is played in the same way except the bass is not as exciting and you don't get the respect that the lead guitarist does and you don't have cool solos to do. The only difference is that occasionly a multicoloured line will appear meaning you have to strum without holding anything down.
The drums are played by hitting the drum pad with the colour that is coming up on the screen and also the multi-coloured line is in this case is used to symbolise the foot pedal which you need to use.
The microphone is like sing star if anybody has ever played that. You just have to have the right pitch and you could hum along if you felt it was easier. This mode is a lot harder.

The story
Like in normal games like this you play through many songs but in a rock band type style you have to play through gigs. These start off easy with a minimum of 3 songs as you have to play 2 then do an encore. This can be frustrating as you don't know what song is last so it could be something like HOT FOR TEACHER which is the hardest song in the game and could cause real problems when ti is an encore.
It is pretty much the same for every instrument and the band mode is set out like that as well. In the band mode you need to have more than one instrument and controller if you are using the microphone. Band mode is a lot of fun as you can get together with a friend and play some awesome songs and get points for doing things together like getting streaks of notes.
In the whole game you get rewarded with money for the things you do like solo streaking good starts and strong finishes etc which are used to purchase some pay gigs and new things to equip CUSTOM characters with. Yes custom characters that you can make look like you.
And finally the only other thing is that all the money you earn and even spend is counted towards your rock rank. This is really just to show how good you are online. but still worth getting as high as you can. The highest rank though is really only for those who are exremely good.

Online
Online has many modes. You can host or join online bands and play through band career there instead but if yoyu don't want to do that and would rather have a cool one on one guitar duel you can do that to.
You can make your own songs and post them on the GH TUNES area of guitar hero where people rate them and play them. You download others and tell them what you think after you played them.
Lastly is the music store where you purchase new songs for the game. These can't be played in gigs except in quickplayand they cost 200 points a song and worstly they take up about 180 blocks of memory so to be honest you might want to steer clear of them except if you get free ones and put them on a SD card.

Extras
The only other thing is mii freestyle which isn't really very good and is just a waste of time and memory that could have been put to good use as extra gigs and songs or anything instead of this.

Overall
This is a great game and is worth buying no matter how it comes and in what bundle it comes.
+Loads of songs
+Instruments work well
+Make your own characters
+Music studio is fun
-Buying songs are not worth it

94% Better than all the rest of these guitar hero and rock band games

The Legend Of Zelda: The Windwaker

For some people the black sheep of the series, but for me, another classic Zelda game.

Animal Crossing DS Review

Animal Crossing is a Game with a lot of playability, options and customisation.
I would reccomend the Wii version if you have the money and if you want a better online and offline experience which comes out December 5th 2008.

Advance Wars: Dark Conflict

A fantastic turn-based strategy that hasn’t changed much has made things a lot more balanced, has cool new features and not forgetting the online multiplayer.

Links Crossbow Training

A fun yet short-lived shooter. It doesn’t quite live up to price and the graphics were taken straight from Twilight princess, lazy.

42 All Time Classics

A good selection of games in a bargain package, but more appealing to elderly audience and the online multiplayer isn’t very well organized.

The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Not just the best game on the Wii but the best Zelda game on any console hands down.
