This is the reviews section. Enjoy.
Jumper Three ![]() Always Look Before You Leap Always Look Before You Leap Pros: Consistent well done retro graphics, complimentary music to the games atmosphere, incredible level design, Varied Ogmo lifeforms, fair difficulty level, coins and time trials to bring you back. Cons: Didn't last as long as Id hoped, Levels weren't quite as difficult as in the last two, Time Trails are a tad restricting. Jumper Three, following Jumper Two, and the original Jumper. The game Jumper was one of the first GM games I had played and one that inspired me to get into Game Maker. As we can see how little Ogmo has grown through this second sequel from when we escaped from that lab oh so long ago. I would highly suggest anyone who has not played the first 2 Jumper games, to go get through those first, as they will allow you to see the progression of the game. Jumper Three is a very well made game in every aspect that a game requires. The graphics are very different from the past two as they have taken a whole new twist to a retro like level. This is not a bad thing however, I found these graphics must more engaging and creative when compared to the last two. Even with the simplistic style there is a great deal of ambiance and attention to detail in each world and level. The gameplay is as expected, very fun, but still somewhat difficult and it will require consideration of each level, practice, and a well placed finger to pass, excluding of course the patience you'll need if lead to failing over and over again. The variation really comes in when we meet the 5 new forms of Ogmo, all of which sport a new paint job and a plethora of new abilities. You'll find it rather intriguing to try and use the new Ogmos to reach things previously unattainable. The music goes with the gameplay well, and you can raise or lower the volume of it to your liking. There isn't much story, but there is enough to recognize the jumper series and we already know the premises from the last two jumper games. The only real complaint I can possibly have with this game is its difficulty. It may not necessarily be a bad thing, but in Jumper 2 I could get stuck on a level for who knows how long and when I finally completed it I felt rather accomplished. In this, the levels are more easily passable with less tricky jumping like in the past two. Some levels are extremely simple to pass unless you feel like collecting all the coins. I have completed all the basic levels and am still working on unlocking all the extras. The time trials are also a tad hard, but none impossible as far as I can figure, though it would be nice with a bit more leniency on the time. Overall, what can't be said about the game, Its a gorgeous game with fun ideas and gameplay. Not to play it would be depriving anyone of the next step... or jump, in the Jumper Series.
