Animal Crossing DS Review

Animal Crossing is a Game with a lot of playability, options and customisation.
I would reccomend the Wii version if you have the money and if you want a better online and offline experience which comes out December 5th 2008.

ANIMAL CROSSING
WILD WORLD

This game is another for the DS and is also another to use the Wifi capability of the DS. This game is a lot like its twin on the GameCube as it is basically the same with extra features. At the start of the game you are taken to your town which you name and are asked your name.
You start to work for the racoon you will love to hate.
Tom Nook! Others may remember him from the GameCube version and he’s back and of course he is money hungry you work off a little bit, which is sort of the basic part of the game to explore and interact with your town residents. As the name suggests you are in a town full of different kinds of Animals which if you have Wifi they will come and go from town to town. After you have finished working for Nook you may buy things from his shop “Nooks Cranny” and will be able to pay off your mortgage to Nook. When you spend certain amounts of money Nooks shop starts being rebuilt into bigger, better shops. There is a museum which you donate fish, fossils, bugs and paintings to. This is an aspect which shows how good a gamer you are and will earn you rare rewards for completing the areas. Inside of the museum there is an observatory where you can create constellations and name them which will appear at night inside your town.

Another important place in your town would be the “Town Hall” this is where you can mail letters to residents, pay off mortgage, donate money, and change the town tune and many other things. When donating money you donate money to a town called Boondox and they will send you letters saying thanks and when you donate certain amounts they will send you rare feathers which can’t be bought from Nook. When you resign from Nooks Cranny you choose to enrol in the HRA, the happy room academy where you organize your room to collect more points and they mail you how many points you have every few days, you can collect sets from Nooks store to build an awesome house of wonders. Paying off your mortgage will allow you more room inside your house and more rooms.
Talking to your towns people you can learn many unusual things and gain a few items, becoming good friends with an animal requires a lot of attention and caring towards that animal after you get a picture of them if they consider you a good friend. You can buy nets fishing rods axes and shovels from Nooks Store but not all at once to begin with you may only choose a few but these items are what helps you to catch bugs, catch fish, get rid of trees and plant trees and dig holes.

Online

This is a big aspect of the game as you can visit your friends’ town or they can visit yours by exchanging friend codes and opening your gates to your friends this is a way to show off all of your wonderful items, town or museum to your friends. You can also play a few games like tag or hide n’ seek. This connection also makes a good way to trade or sell unwanted items for wanted items or cash as some items they may want but do not have. Up to 4 people can be inside one town at any time and can all chat using the writing tool or if you have emotions use them (i.e. rage)

This is a game which if you have not got the game on the GameCube it is well worth getting and many fans would like it as it is your normal fun with Wifi a game made for all ages, this is a good game to buy. 7/10

Advance Wars: Dark Conflict

A fantastic turn-based strategy that hasn’t changed much has made things a lot more balanced, has cool new features and not forgetting the online multiplayer.

Links Crossbow Training

A fun yet short-lived shooter. It doesn’t quite live up to price and the graphics were taken straight from Twilight princess, lazy.

42 All Time Classics

A good selection of games in a bargain package, but more appealing to elderly audience and the online multiplayer isn’t very well organized.

Not just the best game on the Wii but the best Zelda game on any console hands down.
