Pros and cons
+ Amazing graphics and music
+ Great presentation and features
+ Quite funny
- A little short

You don’t see many great adventure games around Yoyo games, too many wannabe game makers around. You’ll see a bit too many games on Yoyo that get a full overall score in reviews, few of them live up to the standards. Even Hanrahan, but it’s still one of the best game maker games I’ve played.

The Hanrahan Game tells the story of Hanrahan and his mission to rescue his captured wife from an evil dudez called Parsons who wants Hanrahan to open the box of chaos. The game has pretty much the same game engine as the awesome “Shadow” (also from Yoyo games, I might review it later), you use the arrow keys to move, Z to slice, X to use long range attacks and C to jump. Levels see you running around killed swarms of Ninjas and then facing a boss. These bosses can be pretty tough but you can activate “rage” mode which makes you more powerful and invincible when the meters full. You also have full stamina, outside rage mode your stamina meter goes down every slice and when it’s empty it takes a while to recover, so you should plan your attacks carefully.
Every now and then there are cut scenes (usually after a boss) which are quite funny and the script is well written. The musical score is quite good, even though there from games I’ve never heard of, it suit’s the situation. The graphics of Hanrahan sprites are pretty impressive, original and charming. As for the other parts of the game, there are also unlockable arenas for killing spree’s and tough additional bosses. The arenas are pretty tedious and mostly easy, you can upload your score’s online but in my opinion it’s a waste of space but a nice idea otherwise.
One thing I was annoyed at was the games loading time, they could have put the music outside the game, it’s freeware after all, but it’s still worth it as this game is bona fide classic. Fantastic presentation, graphics, music and a humorous script. This is one of the best games I’ve played on Yoyo games, despite being a tad short but is still pretty challenging. I salute you Blue and Dark Card Productions.

Animal Crossing DS Review

Animal Crossing is a Game with a lot of playability, options and customisation.
I would reccomend the Wii version if you have the money and if you want a better online and offline experience which comes out December 5th 2008.

Advance Wars: Dark Conflict

A fantastic turn-based strategy that hasn’t changed much has made things a lot more balanced, has cool new features and not forgetting the online multiplayer.

Links Crossbow Training

A fun yet short-lived shooter. It doesn’t quite live up to price and the graphics were taken straight from Twilight princess, lazy.

42 All Time Classics

A good selection of games in a bargain package, but more appealing to elderly audience and the online multiplayer isn’t very well organized.
