Platform: Wii
Multiplayer: 2-4
Online play: No
Developed by: Nintendo
Published by: Nintendo
Genre: Other
Controls: Wii remote(horizontal and vertical) and nunchuk

Pros and cons
+ Another 200 minigames to play on
+ Loads of stuff to do and unlock
+ The controls are great
+ A variety of multiplayer games
+ Graphics are quite varied and nice
- Not to everyone’s taste

Here we are again, another Warioware game, another 100 or so micro games. Things are different this time, thanks to the wii remote. Ok, so the Ds version uses the touch screen and the Warioware Twisted uses tilt sensors, but with the Wiis pointer and motion sensors these two techniques are combined to make a truly unique experience.
Warioware sees you completing a batch of micro games in a sort of story-mode type situation, each character has a set of micro games to complete, each character has there own boss micro game which is harder and longer. Beating the boss micro game opens up a new character which a new batch of micro games and another boss micro game. If you’ve completed a level, you can repeat it and go on endlessly until you lose all four lives, the micro games get faster and harder, but the fun is in beating your highscore.

Aside from the micro games, there are also quite a few un-lockable mini games, such as a shooter called can-shooter. Its an arcade style shooter than sees you shooting cans to score points, sounds basic but bombs, planes, rockets and power-ups have been thrown in to spice things up. Retro heads will be delighted to know there is also a 3D version of balloon fight! You flap the wii remote and nunchuk to fly higher while avoid enemies and obstacles. If you are familiar with previous games, then you will be happy to know there another set of game related micro games, micro games based on old and new Nintendo games. There’s a Super Mario Bros which has you holding the wii remote vertical moving it up and down to hit blocks, a Brain training game based on the mini game in which you have to join up numbers in the correct order using the pointer. Although my most favourite one was the boss micro game, based on Star Fox on the SNES, it had you holding the wii remote horizontally to steer an arwing through corneria shooting enemies which the “A” button then facing a boss battle.

The graphical style is quite varied too, using crazy style and some nice 3D graphics, you cant help but smiling though as the game is quite funny, whether it’s the giant space nose or the dancing cats, this game will find a way to tickle your funny bone. The multiplayer mode is quite entertaining too(and can be played with one wii remote), with a variety of different games, classic and wacky. Firstly, there’s darts, yes just normal darts, no flying bananas or giant space noses, still quite good fun though. There’s a time bomb kind of game, that sees you completing micro games then passing the bomb to another player who has to complete a mini game. There are a few other multiplayer games, but I don’t want to say too much, but please note that you have to complete the single mode first (not including the nunchuk micro games).

Before I played Warioware games, I was a bit sceptical of them, and I don’t blame you. This game may not be your taste, but if you’ve never played a Warioware game before, you should at least give this a try, trust me, you will be hooked.

Animal Crossing DS Review

Animal Crossing is a Game with a lot of playability, options and customisation.
I would reccomend the Wii version if you have the money and if you want a better online and offline experience which comes out December 5th 2008.

Advance Wars: Dark Conflict

A fantastic turn-based strategy that hasn’t changed much has made things a lot more balanced, has cool new features and not forgetting the online multiplayer.

Links Crossbow Training

A fun yet short-lived shooter. It doesn’t quite live up to price and the graphics were taken straight from Twilight princess, lazy.

42 All Time Classics

A good selection of games in a bargain package, but more appealing to elderly audience and the online multiplayer isn’t very well organized.
