Refining Silver Demon Games's Reviews Section
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ REVIEWERS AND ARTICLE WRITERS


Hey guys, it's Rout.

After recieving some comments that the site isn't very proffessional, some changes need to be made, apart from improving the design further and other stuff that only the admin is in control of, we should start by refining the reviews page. As chief reviewer, these changes shall be made:

Some of my reviews are pretty good, if I say so myself, but they were rushed, just like the rest of them. I will be re-writing all of my reviews over a couple of months (I have a life aswell you know, Ladyfolkwink) , and will be putting them under grammar extensive grammar checks(See the Grammar Police article). I suggest that other reviewers on the site do this aswell, or I'll do it for you... no really.
Just put your review into word and press F7, it will go through all your mistakes and sentences that could be worded better, change these unless these mistakes are there intentionally (e.g. "pwnage").

Now, on to putting images in reviews. All the reviews pictures are oddly sized, some really big, whilst others are Richard Hammond. We should have a size format for all these pictures, lets say... 300 by 300. That seems like a reasonable size. Ok, so I have to be strict about this:

#Get the pictures from search engines (Don't take pictures)
#The pictures have to be glamorous
#The pictures have to be 300 X 300
#If you can't find the exact sized picture, save the picture and crop it down to the right size (Don't get small pictures and enlarge them)
#The picture has to be relevent (Obviously)

Now, the reviewing system, there are different systems being used, you can use your own if you want. I put a simple version though for quick reviews, but it's recomended to adopt your own style from game magazines.

[Best Bit, Worst Bit]

Personally, this is the best template for me, which you can use aswell if you want.

Hey, this is admin (Frozenwounds) here,
I'd just like to offer my opinion on this article. Krikenking has exactly the right idea here. Keep your articles tidy and try to keep your grammar and spelling right. I don't think Krikenking's idea about 300*300 images is quite right, but try to keep them to a reasonable size limit, and make sure they're pretty and relevant. Also, you're welcome to upload your images here, but I'd rather you used your own image hosts, such as Photobucket. Remember, as my host doesn't support hotlinked images, if you upload an image here, you can't use it on another site so only upload things for your articles.
