Links Crossbow Training

A fun yet short-lived shooter. It doesn’t quite live up to price and the graphics were taken straight from Twilight princess, lazy.

Pros and cons
+ The controls are great
- Very short
This is the first Zelda spin-off. It sees you shooting targets across several areas in Hyrule taken straight from Twilight princess. There are different types of levels, the standard point and shoot, levels that have a 3rd person view and allow free-movement, on rail shooting and the odd boss battles. Pulling off consecutive shots earns you bonus points which get you better medals and unlock later levels. The multiplayer is pretty disappointing though. I expected a simultaneous shoot off, but instead its take turns and compare scores. The games pretty short too, you could complete it in less than an hour, no really. The Wii zapper that comes packaged with it improves your aim slightly but really it just there to give you a feel of holding a crossbow, well, a plastic one. Although it’s only £20, this game is still quite disappointing and doesn’t quite meet its price.
